Preparing for Success in 2009 (it’s not too late!)

I have so much to say… and yet I continue to run out of time to say it. The last few weeks have found me (and the family) literally around the entire United States sharing ideas, energy and passion with everyone. It has me brimming with passion and lacking in time!

In addition to publishing Into the Breach this year – we have introduced three programs that are designed to support implementation of the core (and advanced) concepts.  We’ve focused on supporting people in a way that delivers clear and immediate results – whether seeking answers, explanations or both. After the success of the launch, I am spending time updating (and creating) the explanations, demonstrations (and have been writing a lot of proposals). If you need help changing the way people protect information or designing an awareness program that works – give me a call and we can explore if I will be able to serve as a catalyst for your success.

This focus on supporting people who desire a more effective approach is rewarding, but has usurped time from blogging and podcasting. Yet, behind the scenes, progress is being made to welcome a fantastic 2009 with an updated (and manageable) to blogging and podcasting. I remain passionate about changing the way people protect information. More, I am focused on working to support the change necessary for the success of those who want to protect information.

Here are some of the exiting developments we have going on:

Catalyst Contributors

I consider The Security Catalyst blog a clearing-house for ‘bright ideas.’ Passionate about changing the way people protect information affords the opportunity to present different ideas through many voices to provide insight, expertise and distilled value in a way that allows people to quickly absorb and act.

We have expanded our ranks of Catalyst Contributors (and will be introducing them shortly). I look forward to learning from them in 2009 (and beyond); we all benefit from this team of passionate experts willing to challenge, support and help shift thinking and contribute to personal and career success.

Videos on Demand: A Different Security Story

I am working with Mike Murray on a new approach — something along the lines of Beltway Boys (or maybe closer to Statler and Waldorf [need link]. The idea is simple: construct and offer a video series – with interviews, of course – that provide solutions. It is easy to find fault and problems; the challenge comes with solutions.

Murray and I have been friends since the day we met. We don’t always agree and we may not see things the same, but combining our experiences and approaches – the results will undoubtedly be interesting.

We’re partnering with Demos On Demand to produce the program (and since they’ll handle the production, you can count on more regular content). The site is Demos on Demand for Security  – check out the preview by clicking on the link.

It’s time for change. Check us out in January – then get involved. And yes, Catalyst onTour will absolutely be worked into the program. Want to get involved sooner? Drop me an email and we’ll talk.

Want to get the inside scoop on Into the Breach?

I have been invited to present the inside scope and share the strategy needed for success in 2009 as part of a BrightTALK event scheduled for December 16, 2008. I’m going to share it all – and even provide a code for free eBook downloads as my Christmas gift (or holiday, if you prefer) to you and those interested in changing the way people protect information.

If you want to be successful in 2009, then make sure you check it out!
